Whilst maybe not a precursor to a radical market change, there is certainly no doubt that there has been a marked acceleration in activity in recent weeks. We are seeing increased numbers through our open houses and a marked increase in the number of sales being made. Whilst investors are still thin on the ground their numbers are climbing. Based on the experience accumulated over 30 years in the local real estate industry it is my belief that investors will lead the vanguard of future market improvement. It will be interesting to see how our stock levels are impacted by the increase in sales numbers. Increases in property values are likely when stock levels fall and buyer numbers rise. The degree to which this occurs in the coming months will be interesting to monitor.
